Anglo European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis
Adam has been in full-time clinical practice as a hypnotherapist since 1996; a lot of his teaching is based upon that real-life experience.
However, his work places a great deal of importance in evidence-based practice and solid scientific principles. With his PhD research, he was the first person to write a systematic review and meta-analysis of the efficacy of clinical self-hypnosis to feature in a peer-reviewed academic journal. Likewise, he has been the first person to study the application of self-hypnosis to inhibit the Stroop effect, an area of great interest to the field of cognitive neuroscience. His ongoing research continues to examine the efficacy of self-hypnosis to advance cardio-respiratory endurance.
Adam lectures for the Royal Society of Medicine and upon the Bournemouth University Masters degree programme on the subject of hypnosis. He was the keynote speaker at the inaugural UK Hypnosis convention and was the first hypnotherapist to be asked to be on the panel of experts for the TalkHealth online clinics in collaboration with NHS Choices here in the UK, alongside conventional doctors and renowned medical experts.
He was a founder member of the PHN (Professional Hypnotherapy Network) and is Education and Research officer of the organisation today.
Adam is author of several highly regarded books on hypnosis including “The Science of Self-Hypnosis: The Evidence-Based Way To Hypnotise Yourself” and “Hypnosis For Running.” Adam’s online training materials sell globally and he has appeared on primetime TV on both BBC1 and ITV in the UK displaying his work. He broadcasts one of the most highly respected and popular hypnosis podcasts in the world, interviewing experts, pioneers, academics and respected authors and engaging them in friendly, respectful debate.

I have worked with people to help them manage their stress and anxiety for over a decade now, and more specifically with hypnosis since 2010. I have trained in a number of different approaches to hypnosis over the years which has given me a really good understanding of the field and has enabled me to choose the approach that most fits my ethos and ensures my clients gain the most benefit. I work to an evidence-based cognitive behavioural model and as such I use techniques that have been significantly researched by scientists and found to be effective.
I specialise in stress, anxiety, phobias and sleep problems although I see people for other issues too.
I am now one of Bristol’s senior clinicians, having had thousands of hours in clinical practice. I have appeared on BBC Radio Bristol a couple of times talking about various issues that can be helped with hypnotherapy. I also offer online sessions via Skype or Zoom for those who are not able to make it to the clinic.
I hold the gold standard for hypnotherapy qualifications (the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma or HPD) in addition to a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy (Dip. Hyp.), a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP), an NLP Practitioner Diploma, and a Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology.
Based in Ferndown, 15 minutes outside of Bournemouth I work as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Mind Factor Coach.
I work with many different issues, however my real passion is sport. I have had the privilege of working with several Commonwealth athletes from a range of sports and have links with some top coaches. Helping sports people to understand and manage their mental wellbeing is incredibly rewarding and there is nothing better than hearing about the positive impact it has had on their performance – I love what I do!
Steve Baxter Hypnotherapy
I am a qualified and accredited therapist working full time from the Strawberry House Clinic in Hayes, Kent.
I worked as a senior tutor at a major UK hypnotherapy school based on the South Coast. I am a founder and current Member Services Director of the Professional Hypnotherapy Network
I have trained and studied a wide range of complimentary approaches to therapy and hypnotherapy and I follow an evidence based approach based on scientific research and clinical studies.
I specialise in helping people overcome problematic anxiety (including phobia) especially when associated with performance (such as stage fright or exam nerves)
I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist with a MSc in Developmental Psychology. I am interested in human behaviour, why we behave the way that we do.
We are not taught about our brains or our mental health in School (yet!), or how to manage these effectively. We don’t have an appreciation of the impact of what we / others say and how thoughts can affect our behaviour and well-being.
Alloquor means “to speak / to encourage” and I set it up to combine my knowledge and experience and share what I have learned through my own journey and my love of education and research. I operated a private practice in Clinical Hypnotherapy however, I noticed that the way people access support is changing. Along with the fact that not everyone can afford one to one support therefore, I have tiered Alloquor towards online high quality research based e-Learning courses and group-work sessions delivered in a variety of settings
